Band vs. DJ

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

On November 16Th, 2008, BrickPark Ent did a wedding at the Copley Marriott in Boston. It was an unbelievably beautiful wedding, and each detail was perfectly planned. When it came to the reception, all of the introductions went well, and the acoustic dinner set went over wonderfully. One of the other main attractions was the photobooth where guests could make their own memories to take home. I personally think that’s a great idea. As we all know, the bride gets numerous photos from her photographer to tuck away as her memories from her wedding day. This is a fantastic way for guests to bring home a special souvenir to remember the special night as well. It seemed like the line never ended, and was definitely a highlight of the night. I’ve worked with this company on numerous occasions, and Jay Kenny, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. He was polite, and completely professional. They can be reached at www.photoboothfavors.com. The wedding was coordinated by Linnea Tangorra, www.linneatangorra.com. She made sure every moment was planned, and that everything went according to plan. Finally the photographers for the night were from Yi Sun, at www.lifefusion.com. They covered every angle of the wedding, and made sure all of the memorable moments were captured. As for BrickPark packing the dance floor, it was a good thing we also bring a DJ with us. This crowd had a thirst for some hip-hop, and we made sure the DJ delivered. There was a solid hour of high energy R&B and hip-hop being played. During that time, we took the crowd’s personal requests off the band’s set list, and ended the night with all of their songs being played just the way they wanted it. BrickPark Ent had a wonderful night at the Boston Copley Marriott. We would like to thank the staff and all the vendors there for all being so pleasant. When it comes to wedding reception sites in Boston, the Copley Marriott has a traditional, historic feel to it. Hopefully BrickPark Ent will return there in the future.

A Christmas Party

On December 13th, 2008, BrickPark Ent did a Christmas Party for COCC, at the Windser Marriot in CT. It was a great night, and the food was amazing. One highlight of the night was when the CEO of the company came up to sing “Dont Stop Believing” by Journey with the band. (He absolutely killed it!) BrickPark Ent would like to thank Windser Marriot and Carol Smith. When it comes to corporate events, the Windser Marriot main ballroom definently exceeds our expectations. As for the COCC, we’ve been doing the summer outtings and Christmas parties for COCC for three years running now, and are very thankful that they continue using our company. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Winter Wonderland 12-20-08

On December 20th, 2008, Brickpark Entertainment did a wedding at the Providence Biltmore. It had been snowing for two days… the ride up was even slow due to the bad roads. We finally made it to the Providence Biltmore, and was greeted by a very accomidating staff. As we entered the ballroom, the vision before us was simply breathtaking. When it comes to wedding reception sites in Rhode Island, and a December wedding, this ballroom looked perfect. The centerpieces on the tables had silver branches imerging from the vases, with tealight candles surrounding. Imagine this scene at 20 tables, as i said before, the view was incredible. It was still snowing outside, and it seemed like most of the wedding party had been staying at the Biltmore the night before. With their introduction music selections, it became apparent they were die-hard Red Sox fans. Their first dance was an acoustic rendition of “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica. This was followed by toasts, then an acoustic dinner set, leading up to when the real party would begin. Following this, the lights were brought down to nothing, having only the tealights provide light. At this time, waiters brought out flaming Flambe to be enjoyed by the guests, as “SexyBack” was being played in the background. From that point on, the night became an unforgettable party. Also, the photographer was very pleasent to work with. www.scottzphotography.com from Cambridge MA, was always there when needed, and covered all aspects of the night. Dr. Edward Bozzi, father of the bride, was very pleased with the band, as was the parents of the groom. BrickPark Entertainment would like to thank both families for having us at their wedding, it was definently a pleasent night for the band. We could have been home watching tv in our pajamas, but instead got to get dressed up, attend a beautiful wedding, fed well, and enjoyed great company. Thank you Providence Biltmore, SConnery@providencebiltmore.com , Scott Z Photography, and Dr. Edward Bozzi.
