Dear Brickpark,

We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so perfect! Of course we are biased in thinking it was the best wedding we have ever been to, but numerous guests have also told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We know Brickpark is responsible for giving our wedding that title. The energy you brought to our day/night was electrifying and the dance floor was packed the whole night. That is quite the feat considering our reception venue has the largest dance floor in the state of Massachusetts. We cannot thank you enough for throwing us and our guests the party of the year. We will cherish that day and all the wonderful memories for the rest of our life together.

Again, thank you!
Sincerely,
Brian & Chelsea Roberge- August 28, 2010

PS- We can't wait to see you perform again at my bridesmaid's wedding next June (you more than solidified her decision to book Brickpark when she saw you in person for the first time at our wedding)

*PPS- We would be more than happy to be used as a reference. You can give this email address or my cell: 603-731-8516 or Brian's cell 603-344-1222 out to any potential clients that want to hear all about the amazing performance you put on at our wedding.

Paul,
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you with this but I wanted to extend our deepest gratitude for the amazing job that Brickpark did at our wedding. Both leading up to the day and during the entire evening you guys did an amazing job keeping everyone dancing and having a great time. The service provided leading up to the event was top notch and we knew that you would be the one part of our wedding that we did not need to worry about. We have been to a number of weddings that hit a lull half way through the night when people stopped dancing and Brickpark made sure that did not happen at ours. Please feel free to pass along my contact info to anyone thinking of having you at their wedding and I would not hesitate to give you the highest of recommendations to them. Again thank you so much and we will definitly be out to see in the very near future.

Best,
Dan & Kristin- June 2010

Paul - Have finally come up for air and wanted to thank you and the band for a great performance on Saturday night in truro. The music was awesome as was your setup and lights. You were absolutely right about building to the crescendo. The dance off was super. both my nephew and our friend, Sam, discovered (but not until the next morning) that they had each split his pants in the back!!! Thanks for the lights and intro to Lady Gaga. She was a big hit with the paparazzi. Your young up and coming "rock star" was a big hit with all of the boys and the younger girls alike. Don't think I have ever been to wedding reception that was shut down by the police. Just got my voice back fully yesterday from our rock debut. Thanks for being so easy to work with and for delivering as promised. Have had many compliments from numerous friends and family that party was best wedding ever. Have already passed your name on to friends who are looking for band in Connecticut for wedding next year. Please feel free to add us to your reference list. Don't know that you have reference from two grooms but now you do. Thanks again. Rock on!!! john

Dear Paul & Band,

We can't thank you all enough for such unbelievable entertainment at our wedding reception! We were excited after just looking at your website & seeing you perform at a local bar with only part of the band, but little did we know how dynamic you would all be on our wedding day! You were fabulous to work with leading up to the day (even with the wedding date fiasco) & were very willing to consult with you to figure out how to make your performance special for us. You didn't have a pre-set list that we had to follow & you actually listened to what we wanted. The band's hardwork to learn our wedding song, but to bring your own creative spin was so appreciated & sounded amazing. It's so great to watch our wedding video & see how much fun we had during our first dance as husband & wife!

We received such great feedback from our guests about your performance & it started during dinner. The acoustic set was fabulous & guests kept coming up to us during dinner already commenting on how great the band sounded, and it continued the entire evening. You can always tell the quality of entertainment from the amount of guests on the dance floor & ours was packed all night long…even when we sang the last song of the evening & we are not talented singers!

Thank you for helping to make our wedding day so special & for providing entertainment that truly let us & our guests have a blast at our wedding!!

Thank you!!

Hi Darlene,

Sorry this is a little late, but I had a crazy couple of weeks. Here you go...use what you want! Brick Park was our wedding band and they did a fantastic job. I recommend them without any reservations whatsoever. Working with them was easy and their goal is to please the bride and groom and give them the wedding they want. My wife and I had several requests and they were able to fulfill all of them.

First off, announcing the bridal party for the reception was done a little differently than the standard format. Each couple had they own "theme" song to come out to. I had made a CD of 30 second clips of songs. The day of the wedding, I handed Paul (the leader of the band) the CD and said to just start with track 1 and announce the first pair and go from there. I would have understood if he was a little hesitant toward trying it 9and he probably was), but he went with it, and it worked out great. It didn't have to be their way, he simply said "whatever you want."

The acoustic set was terrific. The compliments about the band started there and they just kept coming. They can play so many different types of songs. The opened with "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay," mixed in a great cover of the song "Africa," "Island in the sun" by Weezer, a great rendition of "Patience" by GNR, as well as songs by Beyonce and other songs that everyone will know and love to hear. It's great to hear those during dinner. Several guys that have music backgrounds and play in bands themselves came up to me and told me how great they thought the band was. And this was less than an hour into the reception.

I think I should also mention that we never saw Brick Park perform live prior to my wedding. I had seen their website and the songs that they had some videos for and I was pretty much sold. And after talking to Paul, I just knew that his band was the band we were looking for. We didn't look at anyone else. It never crossed our minds. And the wedding turned out perfectly.

I recommend having them play for 5 hours. The extra hour is well worth it. If you only have them for 4, right when you're ready to kick it up another notch, it will be over! The reception never moves as fast as intended, and although the bride and groom think it's flying by, dinner, cake, parent dances, etc all add up and can delay the reception moving forward.

After the acoustic set and dinner when Brick Park first started playing, they had the whole wedding of over 200 people up and on the dance floor. The kept it going all night. The mixed in classics from Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond (for all you Boston lovers), 80's songs you remember all the words to still and contemporary songs from now and even ones from when we were back in college. P.S. The females will love it when they play "Shoop," which is awesome.

For one of their breaks, they had a DJ portion that kept the dance floor moving. Lots of great classic hip hop/rap songs as well as new stuff. No one at the wedding sat down, even though the band was taking a break a well deserved break!

The second set got a little crazy, but even though there was plenty of people walking up to sing along with the band, they embraced it and encouragred us to keep on having a great time. They played all the classics you want to hear at a wedding. I think every song that made my wife and I say "we want to hear this song at our wedding," was played.

I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, and even though they don't cover many of his songs, the ones I had requested, they played because they have the DJ capabilities. And they mixed them in perfectly. It wasn't as though you could tell they had to force it into the set list because it was a request.

After getting back from our honeymoon and checking in with family and friends, everyone has told us how much fun our wedding was and how much they loved the band. I've had several people tell me it's the best wedding they have ever been too. One of my friends described it as "epic." Everyone had a great time. My wife and I have great family and friends, but Brick Park made sure we had a great time and deserve the credit to making our wedding the wedidng we had hoped for and much more. We could not be happier!

A big thank you to the best wedding band around!!!

Mike Indelicato

Hi Paul & band members, I just had to send you and e-mail to thank you for making Kim & Chris's wedding everything they had dreamed it would be. From the beginning of the reception to the end.... the dance floor was packed. Everyone commented on how great the band was. As you know, for my othere 2 daughter's weddings we used Night Rhythm. We had tried to get them for Kim's wedding but they were already booked. I have to say, as much as we loved them, if I had a 4th daughter (thank God we don't!) we would hire your band for that wedding. You were so attentive throught the night which is always a nice touch. Having Kim & Chris come up at the end of the night to sing "Don't Stop Believing & Living on a Prayer" was a perfect way to end the evening. Everyone one was up dancing and singing with them. I know there is so much more I could say, but I am so overwhelmed with how amazing you were that there aren't words to convey it. Once Again... thank you for being such a huge part in making their wedding day perfect! Warm regards, Janet Ledda

Hi Paul,

I honestly can't say enough to express how absolutely amazing Brick Park made our wedding day. Our goal for the night was to throw an incredible party that everyone would remember - and we could not have done that without Brick Park. The dance floor was absolutely packed from the beginning to the end of the reception. I remember looking around during the wedding and thinking that this was EXACTLY how I wanted my reception to be!! The band did an unbelievable job of reading the crowd and playing songs that fit the vibe which kept people on the dance floor the entire night.

I really can't say enough positive things to reflect how great of an experience it was working with you and the band. You were attentive and fun and flexible – even accommodating our last minute request to change our first dance song!

I can't tell you how many times I've heard "That was the best wedding I've ever been to!" and I give Brick Park a huge amount of credit for that. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for making our wedding reception everything we could have hoped for – and more!!

-Susie & Jimmy- Feb 2010

Hi Paul,
As I mentioned on the phone, I can't even count how many people have told us how awesome our band was and how they had a BLAST at our wedding. As you can see from pictures, the dance floor was packed up until the very end. To have you guys play music that kept our families and parent's friends up dancing, as well as all or our friends was huge. After countless searches to find a band that wasn't the text book "wedding band", who would play songs that are timeless, as well as those that are new and not on the cookie cutter wedding set list , we thought this band might not exist- until we found Brick Park. It's rare when it turns out that something you think might be too good to be true actually is true! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
P.S- I can't figure out if watching both my mom and dad dance to "I like Big Butts" is traumatizing, or priceless. Kasey Edwards

Dear Paul,

This letter is long overdue, but better late than never. We want to thank you and your band members for putting on an amazing performance at Stacy and Artie's wedding.

We had so many of our friends and family, of all ages, come up to us during the evening to tell us how much they loved the band. Everyone raved about, and still raves about the performance that night.

When we sat down with Stacy and Artie to discuss band selections, we all agreed that the #1 criteria was a band that would get our guests out of their seats and onto the dance floor. When we told our wedding coordinator at the Wentworth that we were looking at Brick Park, she told us that you were a "fun" band and would get the guests involved. After Stacy and Artie saw you perform in Boston (non-wedding) they were excited about your music selection and sound.

Little did we know what we were in for. You guys were absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, you handled yourselves very professionally and enthusiastically. The flow of the evening, which you recommended, was perfect.

We can't speak highly enough about the quality of your music. As many of us there that night are products of the 60's, and like to think of ourselves as music aficionados, everyone was so complimentary about your music selection and the sound quality of your play. It was no wonder that we had so many of our guests up and dancing the entire night, including my 80 year old relative.

Paul, again we want to thank you and the band for making a huge contribution towards this most memorable evening.

Regards,Margie & Neal

Hi, Paul,
I just wanted to thank you again for the fabulous job you guys did last night for our hospitality event. We talked to so many people today at the conference who raved about how much fun they had. It was certainly one of the best hospitality nights we've had in the many years that we've been hosting these types of events. I really appreciate the accommodations you made to work in the small space, and the way you made all of our guests feel welcome and excited to be there. Your energy with the group only made it that much better.
You are all such talented musicians and I wish you all the best. While we probably won't be in Boston again any time soon, we definitely hope to work with you again in the future. It just won't be the same tonight as we go back to our standard karaoke machine. :( Have a great weekend at your events.

Good Morning Paul!
I can't tell you how much freekin fun we had last night at the Hooley House listening to Brickpark! My voice is hoarse from singing and my dancing shoes has holes in them! Simply brilliant!! After the first note of your first song we knew that you were the band for us, but hearing you rock out for the next 3 hours only confirmed that! So I guess the next question is where do I send the check!?! Put a contract together and send it along and we'd be happy to sign it!! Wedding date is July 31, 2010 @ the Wentworth By the Sea Country Club in Rye, NH. Time is TBA, but it's looking like the ceremony will being around 2pm.
Again, GREAT job last night and we'll all be singing your praises around the Easter dinner table today!!
Many Thanks,
Erin Fay—April 2009

Paul, We first heard Brick Park while listening to a bunch of wedding band demo CDs. We were impressed how they didn't sound like just another "wedding band" but really stood out from the rest with a more current feel. We then went to see them play at the Purple Shamrock, and loved them. And the wedding was no different. One of the most important things to us was that people would have a great time at the wedding, and judging by the fact that whenever our wedding comes up, the first thing people mention is how great the band was and how much fun they were to dance to, I think we accomplished that. Paul was very easy to work with and really explained how the flow of the reception would go, making it easy to picture and pick songs that had meaning to us. Also, Paul was very efficient the day of the wedding lining us all up and explaining what would happen before the entrance. Another feature that drew us to Brick Park was the acoustic music they played during dinner. Everyone loved it and thought it was a great touch, rather than having DJ'd music at that time. We had a wonderful wedding and in large part due to the great entertainment from Brick Park. We would recommend them to anyone! Betsy Cobb- May 17, 2008

"What a night! Brick Park absolutely made our wedding! Having a live band perform at your wedding is the way to go and Brick Park will exceed your expectations. We first heard Brick Park perform at a wedding we attended in Connecticut. They were fantastic, so we contacted them for our wedding and Paul and the gang were more than gracious to travel all the way to central NY. Thank you so much, Brick Park, for being a part of our wedding."

Hi Paul,
Adam and I would like to send out a HUUUUGGGGE THANK YOU to you and Brickpark! You guys were incredible! From the moment you started it off with Superstitious, we knew you were going to rock the house! EVERYONE absolutely went wild over the band (and they still are!) The level of talent, energy, professionalism, and versatility you all possess is unbelievable. There were some musicians in the crowd who easily gave Brickpark "two thumbs up!" No matter what genre you played, you knocked it out of the park. From the acoustic, to the rock, to the contemporary, to the hip-hop, it all was top notch! The best part was the end of the night, when Adam and I got up on stage. It was the ultimate ending to an incredible evening. (It also fulfilled Adam's dream to be a lead singer!) Thank you also for working with us and being so flexible with the sequence for the night. We are so happy the band was able to get the party started right from the beginning. Everyone loved that. It really set the scene for an amazing night.
It's easy to see why Brickpark is so well-loved. Not only are you talented musicians, but you all are so personable and nice. We are so happy we chose you to be the highlight of our wedding.
Adam and I really appreciate all you did to create a memorable wedding for us. We will be talking about it for many years to come! Thank you for making the trip to Saratoga. We wish you were in town longer. It really is a great town. If you are ever up this way again, let us know. Please forward this on to the rest of the band members. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!! Sincerely,
Jessica & Adam Dolan July 2009
P.S. I am just waiting for my brother to "pop the question" because he's already got Brickpark booked!

Paul,
I just wanted to write to thank you and the entire band for the amazing performance that you put on at my wedding reception. During the entire night (and actually everyday since) people have commented on how great you guys were. You played all the music that I requested and played it all extremely well. People really enjoyed Walking in Memphis, the acoustic version of Umbrella (which was AWESOME), Hit me with your best shot, You give love a bad name, Summer of 69, Billie Jean, Every rose has its thorn...I could go on and on. But, like I said, everything was absolutely amazing. I only wish I had hired a videographer so I could hear the music again. :-) Thank you so much for your music and your professionalism. Please feel free to use me as a reference if you ever need one. Best, Rebecca—Oct 2008
P.S. Jeff and I are already planning to come to Boston soon to see you guys perform again!

Paul,
Jill and I wanted to thank you and the band again for such a great performance during our wedding celebration. We lost count of how many people had repeatedly come to us during the party to compliment the band. Even a week after the party, people are still saying to me...'I can't believe how well they performed this song'...or...'They had sung that song better than the original artist'. My nephews and nieces ranging in age from 8-14 thanked me for having you perform at the party!!! I was the coolest uncle because I chose Brickpark for the party. It wasn't just the younger crowd that liked you...my mother-in-law must have said to me over and over again...'What a band!!!!'. My brothers and sisters-in-law had told me that they had never seen such great performers as you. You now have so many people wanting to be on Brickpark's mailing list so they can hear the band again.
I also want to mention that the band showed the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and attitude to my wife and myself. The band demonstrated an 'eagerness' to get things right and you certainly did that.
Anyone planning a wedding or an event needs to hire Brickpark as the entertainment.
Please put me on your mailing list as we are interested in seeing the band perform many more times.
Your Fans,
Rob and Jill Matthews—July 2008

Paul, Let me start by saying thank you Brick Park. My husband is a professional musician and trying to find a wedding band that would measure up to a reception room FULL of musicians is no easy task. Your professionalism, enthusiasm and attention to detail was evident from first contact. A fairytale wedding thanks to BRICK PARK! ~Lisa Tursi- Nov. 2008

Hi Paul,
Phil and I cannot thank you enough for the amazing show that Brick Park put on! Our guests absolutely loved it!! They were all raving about how great you guys were. Many commented that it went from a wedding reception to a rock concert in a matter of minutes! It was a very refreshing change for all of us! We really appreciate you letting everyone jump on stage with you guys and for switching gears so quickly to accommodate all of our requests! You made a perfect day truly unforgettable for us and our guests!
I have attached some photos of the evenings events, including the infamous "aunt's dance"! There are a couple of other shots that our photographer took of just the band that I will forward to you when we receive the rights to them.
We cannot thank you enough and will be sure to recommend you all for any event!!
Sincerely, Lisa & Phil Levesque—Sept. 2008

Paul --
Just wanted to quickly touch base with you now that Stephanie and I are gradually returning to some semblance of normalcy...! First and foremost, thank you very much for all your efforts and being so accommodating for our wedding last weekend -- there were obviously many opinions weighing in at various points in the night, and we're thrilled that the party went off better than we possibly could have imagined. Like many other elements of our special weekend, we received countless raves of approval on Brick Park -- song selection, tempo, enthusiasm, and pure talent blew a lot of people away, regardless of age. But, as I'm sure you noticed, the most important thing was evident from the start: the dance floor was full, and with a healthy mix of young and old!
Hopefully your trek out of Brooksville wasn't too painful that night -- as you would imagine, we kept going strong until about 5am...suffice it to say, there was a lot of steam to blow off after a very eventful year!
Anyway, I just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks -- would've been great to have you play an additional mini-set, but we'll just have to catch you the next time we're in Boston or elsewhere in the Northeast. To that end, could you please add my name to your email distribution list? Can't wait to see you guys in a less formal element!
Thanks again and all the best –
Matthew C. Cady Chicago, IL 60606, USA –Sept. 2008

Paul, James and I just wanted to thank you for making our wedding day a unique and memorable one. As you know, the entertainment is one of the main focal points of the night and we were both so impressed with your level of professionalism and musical talents. We were searching for a band that fit into our own genre and wasn't the "typical wedding band" and what we got in return was much more! We especially wanted to thank you and the rest of the band for your flexibility in incorporating some of our Portuguese music into the reception. My family is also very appreciative at you allowing them to actually play some of their own traditional music. It truly made their night! And just for the record, we received so many compliments on your performance, especially the acoustic set at the beginning of the reception. Thank you again for all of your assistance and please feel free to contact us if you require any recommendations.~ Paula Marques –January 2009

Wedding Bee logo
I left you hanging a little bit there after my last post with those crazy gaping-mouth pictures- sorry! But a lot of you figured out that the photos were those of a surprised bride receiving an awesome gift on her wedding night- electricity! That’s right, after nearly three hours of power-free celebrating, it was time to finally really get the party going.

So here is the point in the recap where I start gushing about how amazing our band was. We booked our band, like many things for our wedding, online. We browsed about a million bands, listened to a ton of audio samples, and were getting discouraged that they all sounded exactly the same, when we stumbled upon the Boston Wedding Band, Brick Park. Mr. Tiramisu called them up the next day and although they were a little more than we planned on spending, we just had a really good feeling about them. Sometimes it pays to trust your gut.

At one point in the night, although I didn’t see it, these guys were actually dumping rainwater out of one of their speakers. Their expensive equipment was certainly in danger of getting damaged or destroyed, and I don’t think it would have been unreasonable if they would have packed their stuff up, carried it carefully out of our river-filled tent, and headed back to Boston. But they didn’t. What they did was make our wedding. They rolled with the punches, playing acoustic music all night when that was the only option, shouting out our introductions and emceeing sans-microphone, and then they didn’t waste a second getting started once the power came back on.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Brick Park!

Once they started, they barely stopped, and reading the crowd perfectly, played non-stop upbeat music for the rest of the night. The dance floor was packed and those who couldn’t fit happily danced on the lawn outside the tent. Mr. Tiramisu and I took up residence on the dance floor and didn’t leave until the music stopped. And we were amazed at the number of guests who joined us out there. I can’t really express how just plain happy I was during this time. Earlier on, I had accepted the fact that we didn’t have power, probably weren’t going to have dancing, and I was still having the time of my life. So when the power miraculously flickered itself back on and the band started up, I was just over the moon.

A little dance-floor advice for you...

Do not miss out on the chance to relive your past at your wedding by dancing in a group and shouting out songs with your high school friends, even if the photos of it leave you slightly embarrassed:

Grab your new husband any chance you get because the time goes by way too fast:

And while you’re at it, steal a kiss:

Don’t forget to take your Mom for a spin:

Make sure 'Sweet Child Of Mine' is played so that you can capture moments like this between your brother and your cousin:

Take a moment to marvel at how adorable and fun your best friends are (dress them identically so you can find them all right away!):

Let your husband twirl you in a circle as many times as he wants (and realize that messy table tops at this point in the night just mean that people are having fun):

And certainly don’t waste any time worrying that your guests aren’t having a good time if you notice scenes resembling any of the following:

Next up: the final Tiramisu recap post, where we cut the cake, toss the bouquet, and (GASP!) the garter too! :)

Talk about fun....Thank you Paul! The Live Band Karaoke definitely brought together all of the various units of our Microsoft gathering. It was a last minute option and we thought it might be a gamble, but we will definitley use Brick Park Karaoke again. The "American Idol Singing Contest" couldn't have worked out any better than this with all of the give-aways that I had. The IPOD that we gave away was truly deserved by the winner. We will see you again next year. Thanks again Paul.

Brick Park... What a great bunch of guys and their talent is amazing. With each member of the band performing lead vocals, I honestly felt like I was hearing the original artists singing these songs. I was informed that they also offered a female singer who does R&B and Jazz as well as everything else. Once my fiancee heard the demo CD that they mailed us, we hired them instantly. My wedding was such a success and thanks to Brick Park, one that many family members and friends still mention today. I would recommend Brick Park for any Wedding without any hesitation.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend the band Brick Park. My husband and I thought we would never find exactly what we were looking for in a band after three months of searching. We are younger and were getting frustrated with the typical wedding bands that are still playing the majority of their songs from the 70s. We had even thought that maybe we should start looking at DJ's that would play the music that we love. Finally, we found this band. They not only played the music that kept us and all of our younger crowd on the dance floor all night, but my grandparents and older family friends were also very pleased that they played the "oldies but goodies" with style and class. We have and will continue to recommend them highly.

(It also fulfilled Adam's dream to be a lead singer!)

Thank you also for working with us and being so flexible with the sequence for the night.

Best,

Rebecca—Oct 2008

We were searching for a band that fit into our own genre and wasn’t the “typical wedding band” and what we got in return was much more!
